The People Bank Ottawa is currently searching for a Senior Software Developer for a 6 month contract with one of our top tier private sector clients.
As a senior software developer, you will be responsible for the design,
development and support of turnkey software systems based on our client's Identity Document Issuance systems and related products. Working both individually and as part of a larger team, you will be responsible for the design and development of new functionality and the customization and modification of existing modules.
The systems are base on the Java/J2EE architecture.
The ideal candidate will have:
· A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience
· A minimum of eight years experience in software development
· A minimum of 5 years of Java web development
· Extensive experience in developing web based applications in a Java J2EE environment.
· Experience with Jboss, Tomcat
· Experience with Hibernate, JSF,
· Experience with HTML, XML, Java script, ActiveX
· Experience with SQL, JDBC and MS SQL
